The Tidar University HIMAPBIO Ormawa PPK Team succeeded in obtaining funding for the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program. The program to strengthen the capacity of ormawa is implemented through a series of processes for developing ormawa by higher education institutions which are implemented in community service and empowerment programs. The Tidar University HIMAPBIO Ormawa PPK Team is determined to empower young farmers in Mangli Village which is located under the slopes of Mount Sumbing.

The PPK Ormawa HIMAPBIO Tidar University team carried out training on cultivating Black Soldier Fly maggots for the people of Mangli Village. The training is expected to foster a pro-active attitude among young people in their villages in maintaining a clean and healthy environment by sorting waste and using kitchen waste and organic waste as maggot feed, which has the potential to become a business opportunity in the future.

While carrying out the Ormawa PPK program with great struggle, the HIMAPBIO Ormawa PPK Team succeeded in qualifying for the prestigious Abdidaya Ormawa 2024 event. The prestigious Abdidaya Ormawa 2024 event was organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology which was held at Udayana University, Bali. In the award night, the PPK Ormawa HIMAPBIO Team succeeded in winning the award for 1st Place in Most Innovative Video.
